USA Amateur Basketball National Championships 17U DIVISION I: MIDDLE GEORGIA SUPERSONICS 54, SPORTS ACADEMY SPORTS 49
    Justin Young July 3, 2017
    Middle GA Supersonics
What a game this was to wrap up the 17 and under division. The Middle Georgia Supersonics had some big buckets, big free throws and big block from Tye Fagan to help seal the 54-49 win.

The SuperSoncis opened the game with a big lead but the guard play of Emanuel Bryson and Zayveon Williams helped spur a massive comeback and eventually took a second half lead.

But the SuperSonics enjoyed some monster minutes inside from Travon Walker and big plays from Maurice Gordon.

Fagan finished with 16 points, Gordon finished with 13 and Walker put in a dozen and owned the glass. SAS had 13 from Zayevon Williams, Isaiah Bauman had 12 and Bryson scored 12, too.

GEORGIA CUP: HIGH SCHOOL DIVISION CHAMPIONSHIPS Justin Young March 19, 2017 Georgia Cup 2017 17U: MONEYBALL ATL 60, SPORTS ACADEMY SOUTH 56

The 17U championship of the first installment of the Georgia Cup pitted Sports Academy South and Moneyball ATL. The first half was a close, back-and-forth affair that never saw either team lead by more than five. At the half, Moneyball was up two behind great efforts across the board.

The second half was more of the same, with SAS jumping out to an early second half lead and Moneyball fighting back. Moneyball made big shots and free throws down the stretch to pull away and win 60-56. Yazir Rainwater led Moneyball with 19 points and Rome Enemalo chipped in with 14. Isiah Bauman had 20 in the loss for Sports Academy South. - Carter Wilson
